All through High School you’ve played a few sports, but there is always that one that you love the most. You’ve made so many memories, stayed in shape, and even got MVP your senior year; and now you’re stuck! Deciding to continue it out throughout college, some of college, or just throwing in the towel is always a big decision. If you’re in a pickle these reasons might influence you to continue out longer!

16. New Coaches- If you hated your coaches all throughout high school, and hated how they favorited that one group of kids. It’s college, that doesn’t matter anymore; if you work hard you play.

continue playing a sport15. Meal Money- Depending on the type of school you go to you might be given $10-$20 for food on away trips. But some people just end up pocketing this money as their own anyway…. There is your allowance (you’re welcome)

14. Exercise- Staying in shape in college is always a big issue people are worried about, especially about gaining the freshman 15. Save yourself the trouble and join a sport that conditions 2-3 times a week.

13. Friends- If you have trouble making friends or just want more friends in general… A sports team becomes your family and some of your best friends for a while.

12. Traveling- You get to explore new playings when traveling for away games, and if you go on spring break trips there is another reason why traveling is awesome. Who doesn’t love that warm Florida sun while playing the sport you love (then going to the beach after)

11. More Experience- Learning new things, making yourself better, and even learning the college rules are another, it’s almost like you learn something new every day (which you do) but you learn something new every day about the sport you love. And you’ll even learn advice about school and life..

10. Staying Focused In Classes- Keeping your grades up is a must! If you’re nervous about grades, playing a sport will keep you focused and help you reach towards that 3.4 GPA you want.

9. Playing Four Extra Years- Four extra years of even more competitive playing, who doesn’t want that?

8. Memories- If you end up playing the four extra years you will cherish so many memories and fun times with your team, and you’ll always be able to look back at them.

7. Staying Organized- Having a set schedule for classes, practice, work, and studying will help you not procrastinate and get everything done in order.

6. Food- Team breakfasts, lunch, dinner, away game dinners, and even those free meals over spring break (also if you’re stuck at home) who doesn’t love free food?

5. Teaching Kids- If given the opportunity sometimes your college might hold clinics or camps where you get to teach or coach the youngsters the basics of the game, or help them improve on their playing.

4. Better Yourself- Pushing yourself to be a better person all around in everything you do, you keep yourself motivated and positive!

2. Time Management- Balancing out when to study, eat, do homework, and practice really helps you with staying organized and working with deadlines.
