20 Things Only Morehead State University Students Understand

20.) The Rec Center

MSU students don’t have to pay out of pocket to sweat off their freshman 15. That is right, Morehead State has the benefit of having an amazing Rec Center on site that is free for students to use.  The gym has full basketball courts, tons of workout equipment, and squash! The rec center is also a great place for campus events such as Rock the Rec. So whether you go to the rec center to look cool or actually work out, get out there and enjoy that gym!

19.) Beaker’s
On the opposite end of the spectrum, we have Beaker’s; a cornucopia of cheap food items all laid out buffet style! Did you have a few too many drinks last night? Treat yourself to a buffet that can be paid for with your meal card!
18.) Cafes
There are a ton of great cafes and local restaurants to choose from right down the road from your dorm.
17.) On Campus munchies, too
Chik-Fil-A, Taco Bell, the previously mentioned Beaker’s, and more. The on campus food selection is just as good as those that surround us.
16.) Greek Pride
At MSU we are known for our involvement in fraternities and sororities. Chances are pretty good, if you grew up in Kentucky, you were always told that EKU was the party school and MSU is the school with all the frats. Sure enough, that is exactly what MSU is. The Greek pride in our university is enormous and so is our pool of Greek organizations to choose from. What this means for freshmen is a great opportunity to find a good fit, and more importantly a huge selection of parties to choose from during rush week, now get to drinking and make John Belushi proud dammit!
