6. Check what you’re being billed and see if anything can be considered as “optional”. At my school, the general bill for an out-of-state student comes in a variety of forms. But if you look closely, you can see that some of these payments are optional. With a waiver of $50 here and here, you’ll start to see a dramatic difference in what you’re giving up in monthly installments.
