If you’re lucky enough to have a best friend, someone you can tell everything to, share clothes with, laugh at everything with, confide in, and someone you know won’t ever leave your side, you will relate to this. Your best friend could be the person you grew up alongside throughout your whole childhood, they can be someone you met your freshman year of college, or anything in between or beyond. Your best friend means the world to you, and you would do absolutely anything for them. College can be hard between keeping up with your studies and finding your social niche where you fit in, but if you have your best friend’s support, whether that be from home, another college, or right beside you, it makes it a whole lot easier. I’m lucky enough to have my best friend as my roommate, so here’s to another year of laughs, cries, all night study sessions, binge eating/drinking, watching Netflix, and avoiding that one person in the dining hall that neither of us can afford to run into. You know who you are, and I love you. Here are some of the reasons why you’re my best friend and always will be:
You always know how to cheer me up
Even if I don’t want to be cheered up.
You’ll always be there to tell me what to text back or how long I should wait to do it
And also when that same someone is being a complete jerk.
