Naked Harvard Student Bites Man’s Ear Off In Airport

Some stories are just too bizarre to believe, but, as they say, truth is stranger than fiction. Especially knowing a friend or even you could be involved.

Harvard Extension School student, 26-year-old Cameron Shenk, allegedly terrorized a few patrons at Boston’s Logan Airport on November 22nd. Around noon on that Saturday, Shenk supposedly climbed his way into the ceiling of a women’s bathroom in the airport’s C Terminal. Completely naked, the student eventually fell through this ceiling and proceeded to runaway despite bleeding. However, the story doesn’t stop there.

After fleeing the bathroom, Shenk attacked an 84-year-old man by chewing off part of the man’s ear and then, according to the prosecutor’s, proceeded to choke the man with his own cane. Within a few minutes, airport police pulled the student off the man and, after a small fight that left one state trooper with small injuries, took Shenk into custody. Both the state trooper and the elderly man were treated for their injuries, the latter’s being serious but not lethal.

The economics student spent his Thanksgiving in Boston’s Nashua Street jail without bail, facing charges of attempted murder, mayhem, assault, and more. His hearing has been set for Monday December 1st. His attorney, planning to plead for bail on Monday, reassures the press that Cameron Shenk is not mentally ill, but offers no explanation. His father, Derek Shenk, offered a mysterious statement to CBS News, saying, “Sometimes when you’re given an apple, it really does contain poison.”

Only these next few days will explain what prompted the student to go on his public rampage. However, perhaps it is no coincidence that these events occurred just weeks before final exams. Just sayin’.
