10 Reasons Why Not Going To The College Of Your Dreams Isn’t A Big Deal

In the senior year (or junior year if you’re a little over achiever) there was that college you had the heart eyes emoji for. Your dream school had it all, the looks, the facilities, the location, the students, and if you were lucky, the price. But for whatever reason, you didn’t get in and now you’re at the school that was lower on your list of schools. It may seem like a big bummer, but let me tell you, you’re not missing much. Here are the 10 reasons why not going to the college of your dreams isn’t a big deal.

10.) You’re still studying the major you wanted to study.

Unless you wanted to go to the only college in the country that had university specific major/class like Klingon (yes that’s a real class, look it up) you most likely can still study what you wanted to study. And unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve had “you’ll probably end up switching your major” drilled into head, so that major you thought you’d love won’t seem like a big deal once you’re switching out of it. You won’t be missing out on the classes and will mostly be learning something similar if not the sane thing at the school you’re going to now.

9.) Every college has something amazing you didn’t see on the tour

No school is a hole in the wall. Once you get on campus and classes start, you learn the things to do around campus, and some things may surprise you. Whether it be an amazing off campus restaurant to grab some late night grub or a scenic route to motivate you to workout every morning that you never saw the whole 5 hours or even 2 days you toured campus, you’ll find something you think you couldn’t live without on this new campus.
