When Your Roommate is Your Best Friend

More often than not, roommate horror stories are what come to mind when you think about freshman year of college. My roommate and I chatted on Facebook before we met and the connection was instantaneous. Of course, I was nervous to meet her and had doubts about our new found friendship, but luckily everything turned out perfectly. If your roommate is your best friend, this happens to you.

12. You have the same friend group

Every new friend you meet, she meets and vice versa. Life is much easier when your roommate and yourself can go out with the same group of friends and be just as close with all of them. It makes going out and coming home less awkward and those who aren’t friends with your roommate will understand. Also, you’re in luck when your roommate/best friend and yourself are in same sorority. You have someone to attend all of the events with and you won’t be upset if you can’t live together your sophomore year.

11. When you’re not out with your roommate, everyone is concerned

When one of you are sick or not in the mood to go out, everyone starts playing 20 questions. Your group of friends get really confused and concerned about why you guys are not out together and get kind of sad because it’s obvious that you two are better together than separate.

10. You’re always on the same page

You guys say and think everything simultaneously. You’re happy about the same things and concerned about the same things. If the room is too messy, you both understand that you have to be responsible for once and actually clean it. And if you guys are mad at each other, it’s too hard to hide. Once, my roommate and I called each other a bitch at the same time. Cute, right?next
