4. The Bathroom Is Really Really Far Away
I don’t know about you, but I know most people, myself included, have the need to relieve themselves when first waking up in the morning. In my house, I fortunately had a bathroom in my bedroom, which required me to simply roll out of bed, take a couple steps, and then I’d be right where I needed to be. In college, it’s a completely different story. Once rolling out of bed, you have to get dressed, open the door to your room, and march halfway down the hall, only to have to walk all the way back to your room, bedhead and all. After a little while, this becomes less and less of a big deal because everyone just becomes accustomed to seeing people at their worst (right when they wake up), so there’s simply no judgment passed when it comes to early morning appearance.
