How to Throw an AMAZING “Galentine’s Day” Party

Everyone’s favorite holiday is right around the corner…

Yes, Leslie Knope said it best,

Want to impress all of your girlfriends with the best, most happening, and creative Galentine’s Day, like, ever?!

Here’s how…

First, and foremost, drinks. After all is a party even really a party if there are no drinks??

One of our favorites is the ~love potion~ Valentine’s Day drink, which is super cute and also pretty easy to make!

Recipe:

-Pink Lemonade

-Vodka of choice

-Rasberry Sherbert

-Optional: fresh rasperries to garnish

Don’t drink? No problem, this super cute drink recipe is delicious and also alcohol-free, plus who doesn’t love the idea of a cupid float?!

Also, pink champagne is never a bad addition to any party (and looks so pretty) and can be bought pretty inexpensively at most liquor stores! Having a morning party? Feeling really fancy? Trying to impress? Try setting the pink champagne up with various fruits, fruit juices for a ~mimosa bar~

Next, and possibly most importantly, the food. If you wanna go all out for Gal-entines Day and pull a Leslie Knopes, you totally can, but simply ordering pizza for the girls is fine too! Gal-entines Day is all about having fun with your girl friends, whether that means going out for sushi and drinks or staying in and having a more chill time.

These are some of our favorite Valentines Day food recipes and appetizers, these also make for great food to pick at while drinking, playing drinking games, or watching movies as well.

Tomato and Mozzarella Caprese Appetizer

Recipe:

-3 large tomatoes cut into half-inch slices

-1 16 oz. package of mozzarella cheese

-fresh basil leaves

Stack ingredients together and you have easy to eat (and no mess) caprese stacks! Yum!

Mini Quesadillas

-1 package of flour tortillas

-Olive oil

Feel free to add bacon, chicken, etc. to these bad boys to spice things up. Some personal favorite toppings of mine include adding cilantro and buffalo chicken style quesadillas, spicy.

Brown Sugar Brie

Adding a fancy French touch to your party.

This is best served with bagel chips or apple slices!

Recipe:

-2 Tbsp of firmly packed brown sugar

-2 Tbsp of coarsely chopped pecans

-1 1/2 tsp Brandy

-1 8 oz. firm whole Brie cheese

Bon appetit!!!

Obviously, there is no party without some sort of fun ~activities~,

Some great ideas for activities at a Galentine’s Day party are your typical drinking games- Kings, Drinking during a repeated catch phrase in a movie/tv show, etc.

A great idea for some Galentine’s Day party fun is to simply go grade-school style (think of all the fun Valentine’s Day activities and candies/treats from Elementary School),

Make Valentine containers for each person using manila envelopes, paper bags, or shoe boxes. Ask your guests to bring a card for each person and then pass them out. Go all out! Write the funniest, craziest, and wildest messages for each friend. The more unique and specific to that friend the better, this will be something you can always look back on, laugh at, and have great memories of.

Going along with keeping it Elementary School-style, make gift bags or grab-and-go bags for everyone at your party! Treat-yo-self!!! Fill them with fun and affordable items. Spencer’s Gifts, Claire’s, and Newbury Comics (if you’re from the NorthEast) have great mini-gifts that are cute, affordable, and entertaining (as well as some pretty raunchy ones if that’s the theme your going for). Nail polish and candy are cute, but be creative! These stores have plenty of awesome and cool mini-gifts to treat your guests to.
