What Hogwarts House Are The Characters From Friends In?

When life’s a joke, you’re broke, and the horcruxes are MIA…

There is no better way to characterize, well, everything in your life than a good old fashioned Hogwarts House sorting.  There have been many instances where I think to myself, “Oh man, that guy is a total Hufflepuff”.  It is a good way to learn a lot of information about an individual in a short period of time.  So, what happens when you combine one of the most popular shows on television, Friends, with a book series that changed a generation, Harry Potter?  You get The One Where They Go To Hogwarts, and leads to an important question – which house would each of the Friends characters be in?

Joey Tribbiani

GRYFFINDOR!

This house is known for being brave, true, and noble, and Joey certainly embodies all of those things.  He is never one to keep his thoughts to himself, and will go out of his way to defend his friends – even at his own detriment.  Furthermore, when it comes to the ladies – well, I guess you could say he’s the Chosen One.

Rachel Green

RAVENCLAW!

When we first meet Rachel at the beginning of Friends, the last thing that would come to anyone’s mind is that she might be a Ravenclaw.  While Ravenclaws are known for being clever and wise beyond their age, we instead found a spoiled rich girl, running away from her problems in a wedding dress.  However, as the seasons go on, we see Rachel take on huge amounts of responsibility and hardship from every side, and handle it all with astonishing poise and grace.  Once she is given a chance to grow, she becomes the wise Ravenclaw she realized she was meant to be while climbing out that bathroom window.

Monica Geller

SLYTHERIN!

The key personality traits of a Slytherin are wit and cunning beyond compare.  Monica is the one that seemingly has it all together.  Whenever she is not sleeping, she is probably cleaning something or making a schedule.  This has a Ravenclaw like quality; however, she has a tendency to lose her temper whenever someone wants to go against her plans, because she always feels hers are superior.  This may lead to a fight or two, bringing out the Slytherin side of her where she takes no nonsense from anyone, and it led to a near loss of friendship on several occasions throughout the seasons.  This, however, was where her cunning came in, because it never took long for her to realize that her friends meant more to her than any plan she could make, and she was always able to get the gang back together even in the worst of times.
