YOLO was the motto of every teenager with access to a social media account. It became an excuse for reckless behavior, but it also did a lot of good for the spontaneity of millennials. As young students, we sometimes lack the courage to go after the experience that we want. There always seems to be a good reason for restraining your wilder tendencies and passing on fun adventures for the more practical option.
The future is important, we all acknowledge that. However, right now is just as critical. Your college experience is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be a little crazy and build a bright (resentment-free) future for yourself. There’s a fine line between going hard and being an idiot, but once you find your limits, then you should let loose. Here are ten reasons why you should party hard in college:
10. You are broke AF. Might as well use what little money you do have to have a great time.
9. The amount of responsibility you have right now is the lowest it will ever be. After graduation, there’s a whole different world thrust on your shoulders. So yeah, you should probably go to that 3-day festival or surprise midnight concert. You’ll be tired the next day, but you’ll probably never regret going.
