7. We’re not afraid to be assertive. We aren’t assertive to have the upper hand in the relationship – we just do it because we know what we want and like in life and we aren’t afraid to vocalize that. We won’t walk around telling you what to do all of the time, but there will definitely be a few times that we’re more assertive. Instead of getting mad at us or saying we’re being bitchy, just talk to us.
6. We won’t be played and we’ll say something if we feel like we are. We don’t like to waste time and we don’t like to play games when it comes to our hearts, so if we get the feeling that we’re being cheated on or played, we’ll call you out on it. All we ask is that you be real with us and we’ll do the same with you. It’ll only make us angrier if you aren’t up front with us than if you are. We’d rather be made aware of everything and be able to back off or react properly than be blind-sided later on.
5. We won’t agree with everything you say and we won’t back down about our opinions/thoughts/decisions. When it comes to making decisions it will probably only cause arguments if you assume we’re okay with something as opposed to just asking us. We’re used to having our own thoughts and opinions and not having to worry about how they may affect someone else, so we won’t appreciate it if you think on our behalf or assume you know what we’d say or how we’d react in a situation.
