10 Ways to Survive a Bad Professor

At least once in your college career, you’re going to come across a professor that you just don’t click with. Whether they just aren’t personable, are super strict, or just seem to have a vendetta against you, a bad professor can make a semester hell.
There are ways to deal with that bad professor, and help you survive the semester. They won’t be easy, but they might just help you crack that professors cold exterior. Or at least get you to pass.
10) Have good attendance. Getting out of bed and going to class isn’t fun, plain and simple. But if this professor that is so awful sees that you’re putting the effort in to come to their class, they’ll be more likely to help you.

9) Take advantage of office hours. Again, if this professor is really bad, you might not want to spend a single second with them outside of class. But the extra stop-by to their office hours tells the professor that you care about their course.

8) Make a friend in the class. It won’t be so bad if you have someone you can make fun of the class with.

7) Find someone who’s taken a class with the professor before. They may have some tips and tricks to get on his/her good side.

6) Find a tutor. If the office hours don’t work, most universities have a tutoring service where students help other students with specific subjects, and that can be super helpful.
