51. “don’t steal anyone’s fracket. You wouldn’t want someone doing that to you, so don’t do it to someone else.”

52. “Don’t overeat to cure a hangover. It doesn’t work.”

53. “Don’t stress too much over your schedule- it will all work out in the end”

54. “If you go to a date party, don’t ditch your date and especially don’t hook up with somebody else’s date”

 Freshman Year

73. “Don’t eat in the dining hall unless you’re going straight home after”

75. “Learned how to drown out the noise of people having sex in the room next to you and below you”

77. “Calling my parents used to be for enjoyment but half way through the semester it was out of necessity…dropping classes, I need money, I’m sick, HELP.

78. “doing laundry drunk at 3 am is totally acceptable”

 Freshman Year

79. “Day drinking will screw up your schedule for close to 3 days”

80. ” ‘browning out’ is a real thing”

81. “I went through 6+ weeks of hell just to become socially relevant”

82. “repeatedly shouting ‘I’m sober as a judge’ does not make you sound sober nor does it make any sense”

83. “I learned how to take shots without a chaser”

84. “I learned that using a chaser is perfectly acceptable”

85. “Time is the most valuable thing. From writing papers 10 minutes before, to napping, to avoiding seeing someone on the walk to class by altering the walk by 2 minutes. You need to learn how to manage time.”

86. “Everything is good in moderation”

87. “Time seriously flies so don’t take anything for granted. Enjoy your friends and do a lot”

88. “Hangovers will kill your day so factor that in if you’ve got shit to do.”

89. “Frats and sororities are great but it’s nice to have different sets of friends with different backgrounds so get involved.”

90. “I just realized I promised myself I’d go to office hours and I didn’t go once all year so there’s that.”

91. “Don’t settle because there are plenty of guys who will respect you.”

92. “Seniors are great resources so ask them questions because they’re full of ‘if I could go back I’d do this differently’ advice and it’s extremely helpful”

93. “Freshmen year you’ll probably find your bridesmaids but you probably won’t find your husband. So stop looking for him and live it up with your girlfriends”

 Freshman Year

94. “Being part of an entirely new group of people can be scary, and although everyone is rushing to make friends what truly kept my friendships alive and well was opening up to them”

95. “College lacks emotional connection but when you are able to get past the scary part of it and truly open yourself up to someone you can fill that gap and it’s so worth it.

96. “Be more emotionally open because people will appreciate you for your honesty and it can lead to building great friendships and emotional connections”

97. “I learned to move my shoes to a safe distance of AT LEAST 10 feet away from my bed if mid-night vomit is a possibility.”

98. “Don’t care about what other people think of you”

100. “College is a place where making bad decisions is expected and practically encouraged. Freshmen year is the time you can make the most bad decisions and use the excuse ‘I’m just a freshman!’” so make as many bad decisions as you can. You only get to be here once.”
