You have thought about it long and hard, and you decided to stay in a relationship or start a relationship during college. This can be a complicated situation, especially if it is a long-distance relationship. Regardless, here are some reasons why it is OK to be in a serious relationship during college.
11. You CAN Still Have Fun/Friends
If you’re with the right person, they will accept your friends. If you’re really lucky, they will love your friends and become really close with them. This way, you can all have fun together all the time! A smart lyricist once said, “…if you wannabe my lover, ya gotta get with my friends…” This is a quote we should al strive to live by.
10. It Teaches You Time Management
You either see your S.O. everyday, or you text/call them for 18 hours out of the day. Being so devoted to another human leaves much less time for all of your other activities. With this on top of work, class, friends, and hobbies, you find yourself becoming an expert scheduler.
9. You Like Thinking About the Future
Most college students have a constant fear of the future and what it entails. You, however, plan on spending it with your current babe and you could not be more excited. If your future doesn’t work out as planned, at least you have somebody to go through it with.
