Every now and then you run into a person that you aren’t so sure about, someone that you can’t quite tell if they like you or not. They are people that say they will stay true to their word, someone you can count on, but they never do. Also, they don’t care much about you, but for some reason you all are still friends. A flaky person doesn’t just do this once they do it many times. They will also apologize for “forgetting” about you, but then you don’t hear for them for awhile. Flaky people don’t have ego problems and aren’t very mean or violent, they just aren’t very reliable.

13) They don’t keep their word- A flaky friend will tell you that they are going to meet you at the movies on Saturday to hang out. They also tell you that they are going to buy all the movie snacks because they just got paid from their new job, and they having a money spending problem. Saturday comes and you meet them at the movies, but when it’s time to pay for the food they tell you they forgot to bring their money and make you buy all the food.

12) They don’t really care about anything- If your flaky friend is in your science class with you and the teacher assigns you two a project to do together don’t expect them to do anything. They will only put everything off on you, but take credit for it once it’s done, if it’s good. Even though this person is your friend that doesn’t mean they are going to help you with a project.

11) You don’t quite understand them- Flaky people, also known as “flakes,” will go days without talking to you and make you think something is wrong. When you approach them to find out what is wrong they will probably tell you nothing and act like the two of you are best friends. Then the next week they are back to not talking to you again…it’s a cycle.
