15. Remember the little things. Their favorite color, their biggest fear, the way their nose flares when they laugh.. remember the smallest details about them. If you have a bad memory then write things down in a journal or keep a note of it on your laptop. This’ll come in handy later in life (like when you’re gift shopping or writing your Best-Man/Maid-of-Honor speech).
14. Give them a hug. Not just a quick, one-armed hug. Give them a bear hug. Hug them for more than one second. Hug them like it’s the last time you’ll ever see them.
13. Compliment them. But don’t just compliment them on their looks (even though they’ll appreciate those too). Compliment them on things that are under the surface like their personality or their intelligence.
12. Try new things together. If there’s something you’ve both been dying to do, or even one of you, invite them to do it together. Zip-lining, dying your hair, sky diving, getting a tattoo… it doesn’t really matter what it is just try something new.
