6 Thoughts You Have When You Leave Home To Go Back To College

Every so often, we like to come back to the place we call home. As much as we love our universities, we must take the most pride in the place that raised us into the people that we are today: home. So, what runs through our heads when we go back to college after spending a day, weekend, or break in the comfort of our home or hometown?

6. I’m going to miss you so so so so so much (My bed)

If you are single, then you probably have a very good relationship with your bed; If you are in a relationship, perhaps you are in a cheating relationship with your bed. No matter what you add to your mattress (is it technically even a mattress?) at school, you are still bound to have insomnia. At home, you could say you have one thing waiting patiently to wrap around all over you and love you — that would be your bed.

Yeah, hurts my back and my sanity

5. Where The Wild Things Are (My Pets)

Dear kitty/puppy/cat/dog/gerbil/rat/fish/(insert pet),

I know you are confused as to why I am leaving home yet again, and I wonder if you think about me because I think of you all of the time. It would be so great to just sneak you into my dorm, but I wouldn’t want you to run away or anything from my mess of a room. And, you are technically not allowed.

Love, your favorite owner

Our pets bring us unconditional love. One of the hardest things about leaving home is staring into their little innocent eyes and leaving them. Thoughts run through your mind faster than your puppy racing to devour the food you dropped under the table because man, you will miss this little thing that brings you so much joy.
