The 7 Stages Of Trying To Study At Starbucks
Sometimes the library is just too packed to study. So if you're heading to Starbucks to get some studying done, prepare to experience all these stages.

When you need a change of pace from studying at the library or in your room, Starbucks is a nice place to try.  Relax on a comfy chair, drink a fancy latte, and get some work done.  That’s the way to do it.  Unfortunately, studying at Starbucks always seems like a much better idea than it ever ends up being.  Still, everyone has to try it once in a while, to truly convince themselves it’s not going to work.

These are the stages everyone experiences when they decide to study at Starbucks.

Stage 1: Preparation.

Grab your books, your notes, your highlighters, and your cutest outfit.  It’s time to go to Starbucks, curl up with a nice, hot drink, and study amongst other intellectuals, charming people, and delightful mood music. You’re so excited at the prospect of studying at Starbucks, you think to yourself you should definitely study there all the time.

Stage 2: Trying to find a place to sit.

Okay, so the place is a little bit busier than you thought it would be, but you’re just one person.  How hard can it be to find a place to sit?  The comfy armchairs are taken, and the big tables are taken.  There’s one tiny table occupied by a guy who looks like he’s getting ready to leave, so you awkwardly stand there until he does and then dart over to claim the table.  Only then can you go order your coffee.
