7 Things You Have to do in Boulder

Boulder Colorado is one of the most beautiful cities in the world with a population of over 100,000 people. Boulder attracts many different people from all over the world due to its beauty, various fun things to do, atmosphere, fabulous university, and culture. These are seven things you have to do if you’re lucky enough to visit:

7)  The Bolder Boulder

The Bolder Boulder is an popular race held annually on Memorial Day. The race is known for being a fun-run; a ten kilometer (or six mile) distance all throughout Boulder ending on Folsom Field at the University of Colorado. Everyone has their own way of participating in the Bolder Boulder, even if they don’t actually run it. Some participants vigorously train for it while other participants dress up in silly costumes eating marshmallows, cupcakes, and even bacon, given to them by the people cheering on the sideline. The sideline of the race is remarkable. There are multiple live bands, hula dancers, and even slip n’ slides set up for the runners. What better way to celebrate Memorial Day?

6)  The Boulder Creek Festival

Boulder has many festivals throughout the year including the Boulder Creek Festival. The Creek Fest is a three day festival held on Memorial Day weekend which is located all the way down the creek path. The festival has hundreds of tents set up each selling or advertising the Boulder businesses. Clothing, jewelry, bikes, skis, souvenirs, and even dogs are available for purchase. In the middle of the festival you will find a huge white tent which contains many different types of art. Next to the Boulder Public Library is the food court where you can buy your annual funnel cake and overpriced fresh squeezed lemonade. Last but not least are the rides. The festival has about eight different rides you can choose from including The Fireball – a roller coaster that spins you around in a circle and hangs you upside down – an all time favorite.
