7 Things Kentucky College Students Understand
The Bluegrass state is home to a number of great things, but our college students take the cake! Check out 7 things Kentucky College student understand.

Kentucky is praised around the world for it’s amazing scenery and horses. The rolling hills and beautiful farmland are great and all, but those of us who live here get the privilege of knowing what being Kentucky college student is really about. Here are some of the greatest things about attending college in the Bluegrass State!

7.) Bourbon!

Bourbon

“Jussst a little bit more.”

Some people may think that bourbon is just whiskey, but we know better. Brewed only in charred oak whiskey barrels and only in Kentucky, bourbon has become the drink of connoisseurs across the world that travel to the bluegrass state just to sample our sweet nectar of the drunken gods. That’s right, bourbon is making a comeback in a big way, and those of us that live in Kentucky are lucky enough to have a front row seat. Now don’t just sit there, have another shot!

6.) And Ale 8 for Chaser

“Kentucky has been hiding this?!”

Bourbon isn’t the only drink that Kentuckians are known for, Ale 8 one is borderline necessary for us to survive. Much like bourbon and whiskey, an out of towner may just see Ale 8 as a jazzed up ginger ale, but oh how wrong they are. The sweet taste of this lovely creation is raved about throughout the entire bluegrass state, and when we leave the state for too long, the thought of delicious Ale 8 back home never fails to make our mouths water. To make thing’s even better, Ale 8 and Bourbon go together like peanut butter and jelly.

5.) Everything is Blue and White

I don’t even have a funny quote for this one, the picture says it all.

UK sports are eternal here in Kentucky and, whether you are at a gas station or a department store, you are likely to find UK memorabilia available for sale. When people around here say the bleed blue, they are not kidding; and the riots we experienced after Kentucky lost to Wisconsin in the Final Four are proof. Dedication runs deep in this state, and even if some fans have taken it too far, we still love our Wildcats. next
