9 Most Badass People Throughout History

1. Jack Churchill

1

Not only did Churchill serve on multiple fronts in WWII, but he did so with a long bow, sword, and bag pipes always with him. With his antiquated weapons Churchill managed to capture a German-held Sicily and the 42 German soldiers within. Churchill was famous for saying, “If it wasn’t for those damn Yanks, we could have kept the war going another 10 years.”

2. Khutulun

This Chinese princess insisted that her suitor beat her in a wrestling match if they were to pursue a relationship. If she won, they had to give her a horse. She had nearly 10,000 horses by the end of her life.

3. Genghis Khan

3

Other than the fact that literally everybody is related to him, Khan was famous for saying, ““I am the punishment of God. If you had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me to you.” That’s some confidence only seen since by Kanye West.

4. “Tank Man”

4

Literally stood in front of a moving tank in protest of the oppressive Chinese regime. Nobody knows who he is or if he is still alive, but we do know that he is one of the biggest badasses in history.

5. Rasputin

The man that wouldn’t die. He was an advisor to the Romanov family, but he survived be shot, drowned, and poisoned when they finally tried to kill him.

6. Joshua Abraham Norton

The self-proclaimed emperor of San Fransico, California from 1859 until his death in 1880. Though he was insane, people actually listened to him, and when he collapsed in the street and died nearly 30,000 people attended his funeral.

7. Bruce Lee

7

The myth surrounding the man is almost larger than the man himself, but he could do many inhuman feats, including one-handed two-finger push-ups, one-armed pull ups, and play ping pong with nunchucks. Oh, yeah, he also created his own fighting style.

8. Michael Malloy

8

Five men – who were later convicted of murder and many of who received the death penalty – took out life insurance policies and tried to kill this who-would-prove-to-be indestructible homeless alcoholic. Malloy survived drinks infused with anti-freeze, turpentine, horse tranquilizer, and rat poison. After surviving other poisonous foods, he was dragged into freezing cold temperature doused in water. He survived again. The same thing occurred after being hit by a speeding car. Eventually, he succumbed to having gas pumped into his chest for over an hour.

9. Witold Pilecki

A Polish soldier and resistance member during WWII, Pilecki volunteered to be put in Auschwitz to gather intelligence. After three years of in-camp resistance and relaying information to the allies, Pilecki escaped Auschwitz.
