Why Adele’s New Album Will Give You All The Feels

Hearts all over the world are re-breaking to the sounds of Adele’s newest album, 25. These songs are not the first to add to your “turn-up” playlist for pregaming. These are not songs for power-hour. These songs will not make you happy. They will, however, make you sob uncontrollably. These are the songs you play on those solo dolo car rides, when the sun is setting and it happens to be a perfect time to reminisce about all your past relationships. Adele has you thinking you had the realest love of your life with that kid from kindergarten who drew you a flower. Adele has you thinking the boy who took you out to dinner once and kissed you goodnight in your driveway was your soulmate. Anyway, I digress.

We knew what we had coming for us when she dropped the first single of the album, Hello. “Hello from the other side, I must have called a thousand times to tell you I’m sorry for everything that I’ve done….” (You get the point). It’s an instant tear-jerker.

It isn’t rocket science that each of Adele’s album titles are based on her age. So, if my math is correct, it’s been a four year hiatus since her last album, 21. Fans all over the world were patiently waiting (and maybe not so patiently) for her to release some new music that we can cry to on the living room couch with a pint of Ben and Jerry’s. Who doesn’t love a good cry?

Some of my favorites include (in order of favorite to moderately amazing):

1. When We Were Young

2. All I ask

3. Hello (of course)

4. Million Years Ago

5. Love In The Dark

If you want to feel ALL THE FEELS (mainly the sad ones) please listen to this album. Unfortunately it isn’t available on Spotify or Apple Music, but just buy it on iTunes. Trust me you won’t regret it. Shortly after, this will be you:

And then…

And after your start pulling yourself together…

Grab a tissue…

Finally, the tears have dried, but…

And Adele’s just sittin’ there like…
