Brokenomics: 10 InfoGraphics That Accurately Describe College

College can be a confusing time for anyone willing to endure the challenge. Between parties, all night study sessions, and trying to figure out where your next meal will come from, it can be tough just to know what the hell is happening around you. Not to worry, I may just have a cure. If you are anything like me, a visual aid can do wonders to help you understand what is going on, so I have taken the liberty of compiling the 10 most accurate charts and graphs that describe college.

10.)

FinalExams

Final exams can stress any hardworking college student to the brink of near insanity. You have spent an entire semester hunched over text books, taking note after note, to be ready for this final exam. How could this be any more stressful? How about the fact that you are pretty sure you have never once seen a single piece of information from section 2 of this test? Don’t bother mentioning this to your professor though as they are CERTAIN they went over all of that information during week 3. FML…

9.)

Graphjam-Essay

Your professor has made you painstakingly aware that your upcoming essay is worth 33% of your entire grade…you know that. You fully understand that failing this project ensures you will not do well in this class. You can picture, perfectly, the misery you will feel if you cannot bring yourself to ace this project. So why in the world is it so damn difficult for you to get any work done? Only two words come to mind…Social networking.

Google is hands down my best friend when it comes to writing a paper (or doing nearly anything else for that matter.) The search engine has more information stored in it than any Library in our country, and yet the things that we use it for are not always of the scholarly sort. As the chart above illustrates, once you enter college, Google becomes your own personal spell check. Oh yeah, and you can use it to find porn if College has got you feeling extra stressed.

A lot of people have a tendency to believe that all of the hype surrounding ramen noodles and college is just a joke; that is, of course, until they actually attend college. There are two things in particular that stand in your way when it comes to eating in college: Convenience and money. Most dorm rooms do not come equipped with a stove or oven so microwave meals quickly become your best friend, and ramen noodles are both microwavable and cheap so they fit your needs perfectly. Plus, as the chart above illustrates so well, ramen is also one of the only meals that manages to be cheap, easy, and not make you feel like garbage afterwards.

College is a fantastic time to get out in the world and meet new people, and you will meet plenty of people at your College. But, naturally, most of those people will eventually become just another face in the crowd. You will bump into others occasionally and catch up briefly or even just give a casual head nod in passing. Next are the people you socialize with on a regular basis and even consider to be your friends, and finally come the group of people that you become so close to that some of you inevitably explore other possibilities that may lie within your friendship…awkward.
