Buffalo Wild Wings Honors A Fallen Soldier

In Tacoma, Washington a Buffalo Wild Wings showed their respect to a fallen soldier in a special way. Brian Avey was working a lunch shift, as if it was any ordinary day, when a female soldier walked in. She ordered two beers, a Corona and a Blue Moon. Avey had to explain to the woman that they are only allowed to serve one beer at a time. She confessed that the second beer wasn’t for her to drink, but for her brother who was one of the fallen soldiers in Iraq.

Avey brought her the two beers and he reported on his Facebook “[The beer] just sat next her at a[n] empty seat her entire lunch,”. When she was ready to leave the Corona was not on her bill and Avey told her, “Buffalo Wild Wings will be buying that beer.” After she left, Avey noticed a note of gratitude on her bill stating, “Thank you. An act of kindness goes a long way. It means a lot to me. Have a great rest of your day – Grateful Soldiers.”.

After Avey cleaned up, he didn’t have the heart to dump out the fallen soldiers beer and instead put it on top of the cooler next to an American Flag. When he showed his boss, the reaction was incredible. He reported the reaction being “That’s fine, just do me a favor, put a fresh lime in it every morning,”.

This amazing story just goes to show how grateful people can be of our brave soldiers.
