7. Ive done some stupid things with money, but my all time best is probably the time I spent 500 buying my way into a pyramid scheme. I quit after two months, made 0 sales. To be fair, I had two friends who pretty much make their living with it, so I figured it would be easy. The drinks tasted amazing though. 10/10 would not recommend. Edit: to everyone asking, yes it was vemma.
6. A video converter program ($45) that I needed because I have DVDs from multiple countries, so my computer wouldn’t play most of them. The program worked, barely: if you fullscreened a movie, it would get unwatchably flickery. Subtitles were always on, since in bypassing the region strictures, the program couldn’t access the menus and just turned the default subtitles and audio on. Finally someone told me about VLC — free, fast, smart, effective, and unbothered by bullshit like region codes.
