Moments ago, following a lull in reports of US mass killings, the newswires lit up with reports of the latest “active shooter” incident this time on the campus of Umpqua Community College in Oregon, where according to unconfirmed media reports, 15 people were killed and at least 20 injured in what is still a development situation. The call of the shooting was placed at 10:30 am local time in Oregon. Reporters witnessed students leaving campus in blood, and parents looking for their children.
