Crazy Guy Does Dislocated Shoulder Dance And It’s Freaking Everyone Out

There should be a limit to what people should do on video. However, most people don’t have a line they draw when they contemplate filming themselves and then uploading that footage to YouTube. That’s probably because in the era of Facebook and Snapchat, there is no real barometer for what is appropriate or relevant content, and what is a giant waste of time.

And maybe that’s ok, because one of the really cool things about the evolution of social media is that one person with a video camera has the same power as a corporation. Don’t agree? Well, do you think the United Airlines fiasco would have gone viral and forced the airline to make changes if passengers had not videotaped the incident?

So you can’t really be mad at this guy for showcasing what he thinks is a cool “skill,” and that term is used very loosely. We’re all kind of fascinated by people who have these weird abilities, especially if it’s related to manipulating their bodies into doing something that most of us just can’t do. It’s like that kid in grade school whose tongue could touch the tip of his nose, or the kid who could make his eyes bug out and then make them go back into their rightful sockets.

This guy here is flat-out freak, though, right? You should not be physically capable of popping out your shoulders and then popping them right back in. These are the kinds of injuries that athletes suffer that can cost them a whole season of playing their sport, but this guy just pops out his shoulder in and out….on purpose.

So how is this even possible? Well, smarter people than me have called this ability “hypermobility,” but you’ve probably heard it referred to as being “double-jointed.” This means that people blessed with this talent can bend their joints far beyond the capability of most normal people. This allows them to do freaky things without experiencing the pain that mere mortals like you and me would feel.

But that doesn’t make you any less squeamish watching this guy bring his hand around the other side of body and touch himself on the face, right? In fact, there are a few other examples of people with hypermobility who did super-crazy things that no human should attempt or be forced to witness.

Because short of freaking people out for a few seconds on a video, what could this shoulder-popping dude do with this talent, anyway? I suppose he could fake a shoulder injury to get out of taking an exam or something, or maybe he could perform on street corners the same way musicians do, with an open can for tips? Other money-making suggestions are welcome, one and all.
