Everyone you come across will have a unique and special laugh, or laughs, that you’re bound to hear. However, some people’s laughs are more predictable and unique to them. We all know those people who are guilty for having the worst, or best, laugh you’ve ever heard. Here are some laughs that I’ve come across that have stuck in my head, and share with your friends who are known for these types of laughs too:
The contagious laugh- Whether it be a baby’s laugh or someone who just has the best personality, some laughs are just too comical or contagious to not laugh right along with them. These types of people are the best to surround yourself with because no matter what, you know you’ll be in a good mood around them.
The I typed ‘lol’ while keeping a straight face “laugh”- We ALL do this; one of our friends or crushes says something super corny or makes a joke that is downright terrible and instead of calling them out on their lameness, we use the signature “lol!” to pretend like we’re “laughing out loud” when really, we’re rolling our eyes and staring at our screens like, “Did they really just say that?!”
The snort- This is quite possibly one of the most uncomfortable laughs that can turn any situation awkward. Someone starts laughing so hard that they start snorting and all bets are off. You can no longer continue the conversation until you’ve clearly pointed out that yes, they snorted, and yes, it was horribly hilarious.
The hiccup laugh- The only way I can describe this sound is like a person who is projecting a constant tone while simultaneously running over speed bumps in a car. They have a very rhythmic and obnoxious laugh that I cannot stand for too long.
The giggle- One of my favorite kinds of laughs are those were a shy person or child just lets out a tiny giggle to show that they found something genuinely comical or silly. It’s a cute little sound that seems to light up a person’s whole face.
