Different Laughs You’re Bound to Hear in a Crowd (cont’d)

The “silent but deadly” laugh– Although also annoying, you can’t help but laugh while watching a person laugh completely silently while making a face somewhat like the one below. They’re most likely bobbing their heads up and down while their faces turn red with their eyes squeezed closed. No sound is coming out, yet they’re laughing like they just saw their ex fall down a flight of stairs.

The “this isn’t funny but I’ll laugh anyway”– We probably all hate these people because they would be known as the “kiss ups” of the world. A professor tells a really lame joke, and these people are the first ones to burst out in extreme laughter anyways. These people try to gain approval from people by laughing at anything and everything that the person says.

The “I’m grinning but secretly wish I could push you off of a very high bridge” laugh– We’ve all been in those uncomfortable and horrible situations where someone makes a joke or comment directed negatively towards you that’s meant to be “funny,” while in reality, you just want to slap them. Out of uncomfortableness, you laugh while gritting your teeth at the person who just used your embarrassment as the route of their last joke.
