There’s no getting around this simple fact: drunk people are hilarious. Their inhibitions are gone, their coordination and fine motor skills are severely diminished, and all of it makes for a rather amusing spectacle, assuming no one is in danger of being severely hurt, that is.
The helpful fellow who uploaded this video to Youtube stated only that he offered to call a cab for the inebriated skater you’re about to see, but obviously that offer was refused. And I must say, I’m glad the young man did refuse, because what ended up happening instead is a truly marvelous display of drunken bravado and perfect timing. Watch the drunkard attempt to skateboard away from the bar, only to stumble forward off his board. The board then goes rocketing off in the opposite direction, eventually rolling lazily into the path of an SUV which snaps the board like a twig while it performs one feeble little kick flip through the air. The whole thing is just too perfect to be anything besides a total twist of fate.
I hope the driver of that SUV doesn’t feel too guilty. It looks to me like that skateboard willingly threw itself into oncoming traffic. How tragic.
