5) Wolf Pack vs. New Friends
You promise each other that you’ll stick together. You’re like the three musketeers; no one else can fit into your friend group. But as classes progress, you’ll start to talk to more people outside of your friend group. You’ll branch out and hang out with people you don’t see all the time as a break… Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean your previous friendships are over.
4) Netflix and Chill vs. Netflix Alone
Movie nights every night and starting shows together evolves into: catching shows together when you can or having a night alone where you catch up on your own shows. Netflix then becomes your meditation and stress relief. Ultimately it is better to experience alone as you subtly cry at your favorite TV couple’s breakup!
3) Family Dinners vs. Dinner in Bed
When you first start to live together, you make it a point to know each other’s schedules so you can eat at the same times. Just like at home, you all catch up on the excitement of the day and tell about your plans for tomorrow. But again, as you schedules become more packed, you begin to grab a meal whenever you get a chance and rush back to your room for a quick nap. Dinner in bed isn’t the luxury that breakfast in bed is… it’s a necessity.
2) Excitement vs. Over-Exposure
The excitement of living with your besties is pretty major. Every day you’re excited to hang out with them and do something fun. But sadly the more time you spend in close quarters the more you notice the little things your besties do that tick you off. Whether it’s them chewing loudly or leaving behind a mess, only a little time apart can help you forget. *dramatic sigh*
- You’ll Stay Close vs. Proximity Makes You Drift
It’s bound to happen. The close ties you built as best friends are strained when you’re in such close quarters. The closed doors become more frequent but it’s all about just a little bit of me time. You all still love each other though!
Don’t worry, you’re fine. True friends make it though living together and come out even closer on the other side!
