What It’s Like to be Fat at the Gym

10. At first, there’s an overflowing amount of motivation. You kind of feel a like a superhero prepared to takeover the world. Everyone should really take this in when it happens because it won’t last very long at all.

9. In addition to feeling like you’re 30 times over the weight limit, it doesn’t take long to realize every machine is basically a death trap. This usually happens briefly after you notice you’ve been using your legs for the machine intended to workout your back.

8. Anytime you are at the gym time goes by super slow. You look at the timer every 15 minutes and only 7 seconds has passed. So basically 1 hour at the gym = 9 hours in real life.

7. Everything seems impossible and you start to wonder why people torture themselves like this everyday. You can’t lift your arms, your legs don’t bend that way, and there’s no way you’re going to make it around that track without passing out.

6. You’ve heard a million times how “feeling the burn” is a great thing but it feels nothing of the sort. Just doing everyday task, like walking, takes all the energy your life has ever possessed. Plus, now you have to control your limping and be mindful of your facial expressions so no one can tell you’re in excruciating pain.
