How MTV’s Laguna Beach Prepared Us for Sorority Life

"Laguna Beach." For TV.

Flashback to 2004, you’re on the couch watching MTV because let’s face it: that was the cool thing to do. Then, the single greatest gift to the teenage female comes on: LAGUNA BEACH. Let’s face it, Greek Life is primarily known for it social aspects. The saying “buying your friends” is synonymous with any Greek chapter on campus. Regardless of the validity of that statement, when you compile hundreds of random strangers and place them into a house and Greek chapters, drama is bound to occur (exhibit uno- MTVs other captivating series: The Real World).
