My Actual Thoughts on College Textbooks (2)

Matt Hauszpigel from Hofstra University even stated, “I think textbooks are a rip-off. I didn’t pay to go to high school and I got all of my books for free, but now I pay about $40,000 a year in tuition and I still have to pay for textbooks.”

However, the optimist within me must recognize that although there are cons to textbooks there are things you can do to make textbooks a little more likable. I’m talking about e-books. E-books are the saints of the textbook world because they are usually cheaper than physical books and they are a lot easier to carry to class. You can easily access them on your phone or laptop and you also don’t have to worry about damaging the book! And to make it even better you don’t have to worry about returning the book on time or, if you bought it, finding a place to store it once the class is over. Thank you technology. next
