Selfie Related Deaths
2015 is officially the year in which more people have died taking pictures of themselves than being attacked by sharks. If you need to pause and let that sink in for a moment, I suggest you do so now….okay now that you have really taken that in, lets continue. There have been a total of 12 selfie related deaths reported this year, and only 8 shark related deaths (on another note, there have been 0 selfie/shark related deaths recorded so far, but I imagine that number won’t remain 0 for too much longer.) So how exactly does one die by taking a selfie? Here are a few examples to give you an idea: A man in Spain was mangled to death while trying to snap a selfie during the running with the bulls, two men in Russia were killed taking a selfie with a live grenade, and a woman in Russia shot herself in the head while taking a selfie with a loaded gun to her head (believe it or not she managed to live, although i think you can see how she may not have been so lucky.) Don’t be on the wrong side of natural selection kids, only take selfies when it’s safe!
