The Six Types of People on Your Facebook Newsfeed

The Six Types of People on Your Facebook Newsfeed
You could have a thousand Facebook friends, but there are six distinct people that show up on your Facebook newsfeed. These personas are on everyone's feed.

Admit it, you’re a Facebook addict. During study breaks or even while you’re studying, you are constantly scrolling down your newsfeed, keeping yourself updated with people you probably don’t really care about. We all do it and we all hate that we are obsessed with it. You could have thousands of Facebook friends, but I’ve noticed that there are six distinct personas when you scroll down your newsfeed.

6. The One Who Loves Their Pets

There is always that one person who posts a thousands pictures of their pet from every angle imaginable. This includes a birds eye view, a picture of their profile, a photo up close, a photo from a far, and multiple selfies with their pet. Often, their pet is wearing ironic clothing and each picture is taken from a multitude of different settings. These animals have somehow made a Facebook for themselves, so their owners are able to tag them in their posts. Everyone who is friends with this person on Facebook knows what kind of pets they have, the names of their pets, and the gender of their pets because they post about it 24/7. We get it, you love your pet.

5. The One Whose Instagram is Connected to their Facebook

After procrastinating writing a paper by scrolling down your Instagram feed, you start to procrastinate by scrolling down your Facebook newsfeed. Then you realize, everything you saw on Instagram is now on Facebook. Is it even necessary? Every time a girl you follow on Instagram posts, you automatically see the same post on Facebook. If you’ve given her a like on Instagram, do you give her a like on Facebook too? Or is that too generous?
