Thanksgiving Dinner: College Student Edition

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and with that come a slew of traditions like family gatherings, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, and of course – a huge turkey dinner.  However, as college students, sometimes situations arise in which going home for the holidays is not a possibility.  The thought of missing out on so many annual events is saddening to some, but there is a silver lining!  Don’t spend your Thanksgiving Day alone and hungry, gather a group of your closest friends that are in the same boat as you and prepare a college student version of the typical Thanksgiving meal – cooking skills are optional!

Instead of Turkey…

Order a pizza!  It is cheaper and less maintenance than cooking an actual turkey, but gives you the same feeling of community and sharing.

Instead of Stuffing…

Since you are lacking a bird in which to stuff said stuffing, try making Ritz Cracker Casserole!  It has the same bread texture, takes only a few moments to bake, and is delicious.

Instead of Homemade Mac and Cheese…

Get some Easy Mac from your local grocery store and spice it up with extra ingredients, like different types of cheeses, or bacon.
