Sex in College. It’s definitely a subject to be discussed. But what really is the truth about females and sex in college? Well, apparently according to research college women love sex. Sometimes when they cannot get it, they resort to other ways to pleasure themselves such as owning a vibrator.
About half of American adults indicate using a vibrator, according to a new survey that sheds light on acts that take place beneath the covers and behind closed doors.
Women who used vibrators also reported better sex, including higher sexual desire and arousal, as well as orgasm. However, there was no significant difference in general sexual satisfaction between female vibrator users and non-users.
“The study about women’s vibrator use affirms what many doctors and therapists have known for decades — that vibrator use is common, it’s linked to positive sexual function such as desire and ease of orgasm, and it’s rarely associated with any side effects,” said study researcher Debby Herbenick, associate director of Indiana University’s Center for Sexual Health Promotion.
According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the US, young girls are waiting longer to have their first sexual experience. The proportion of 15- to 19-year-old females who had been sexually active at least once declined from 51 percent in 1988 to 43 percent in 2006-2010. A survey of college women aged 17 to 23 years found that 69% of respondents didn’t lose their virginity until they turned 18, while 43% were still virgins.
In another survey, women said they have double digit partners. 86% of the respondents have had between 1 and 10 sexual partners, with 10% confessing to more than 15. The largest group? Between 2 and 4 partners, with 38%.
So here is the real question….. if college girls love sex so much, then why does it not seem that way whenever I go out. As a dude in college, myself and friends would always try to go out to parties with the goal of seeing how the night would play out, and of course we’d fail miserably every friggen time. Is it that we’re just so ugly and girls are absolutely DTF, but just would never want to have awesome sex with us? Probably the case. Either way, definitely surprised by many of these facts, and maybe our sex game will step up sooner or later.
