Video Of High Speed Pursuit Shows Suspect Throwing Bales Of Marijuana Onto The Highway

Hmm, what’s going to get you more jail time?  Leading the cops on a high speed pursuit or having copious amounts of marijuana in your vehicle?  With that question in mind, I think we can understand why the suspect in this video was so keen to get rid of the drugs.  Not that it makes his attempt any wiser…

Dash cam video from Pina County, Arizona shows a police cruiser in pursuit of a white SUV.  As they whiz down the highway, passing other cars and 18-wheelers at speeds of more than 100 mph, someone in the SUV begins to hurl big bales of marijuana out of the window, obviously trying to get rid of the seriously incriminating evidence.  The packages of weed go bouncing and bursting on the highway.  It’s almost comical.

The car must have been pretty well loaded with marijuana because the suspect hurls almost a dozen bales before the chase ends with at least one suspect trying to high-tail it on foot.  I wonder if the two suspects were aware that the cop’s dash cam captured the entirety of their disposal process or if they were planning on simply playing dumb once they were inevitably captured.  They were both taken into custody, thankfully, and highway patrol was able to recover the marijuana they tossed.
