WARNING: The First Week Of College Can Define You

When you first start your freshman year of college you’re feeling all kinds of emotions. Happy, sad, excited, the list goes on, but no one told you that the things you do the first week could very much define you at college. Words of advice-choose wisely!

Tip # 1– News travels fast- Before you do something that could potentially ruin your college reputation, think again. As fun and exciting as it is, that one mistake could haunt you for next 4 years. New travels even faster if you attend a smaller college so before you hookup with half the football team, stop yourself. No girl wants that reputation I can assure you, and there’s a 99.9% chance you will be the topic of everyone’s dinner conversations.

Tip # 2– Don’t over do it- Although it’s the first time you will be away from your parents with no curfew and no rules, that does not mean you should be passed out by a toilet every single night. I’m sure getting obliterated sounded fun in the beginning, but when you find yourself sitting in your communal bathroom alone, it’s not. Chances are you don’t even know anyone well enough so who knows if anyone will take care of you.

Tip # 3– Nothing is certain- I’m sure upon coming to college you and your boyfriend decided that staying together was the best idea. Please keep in mind it’s college and anything can happen. I’m not saying breakup with your significant other the first chance you get, but in the event the relationship comes to a close please remember it’s not the end of the world. One the bright side if you’re lucky your college friends will try to make you feel better. How you ask? By covering all the pictures you have of your ex with Scott Disicks face!
