Ways To Make Extra Cash In College Besides Getting A Job

Getting by on just one job is hard nowadays. The task is made even more difficult if you intend to have fun during this time, rendering a second job impossible. Luckily there are a number of side hustles out there that can help you deal with being broke in a much less stressful way. This list isn’t necesarily in a particular order; I don’t know you, your situation, or your ability so there is no true way for me to rank this list.

10.) Create A Gig On Fiverr

Profit Potential: Medium-High
Risk: None-Low

What can you do that is worth $5.00? People rake in money on Fiverr by selling material goods such as crafts and jewelry, online  goods such as website traffic, bizarre odds and ends like personalized songs, and more. Maybe you are a book worm and wouldn’t mind tutoring someone on Skype for thirty minutes, or an artist who can design a logo or banner. Get out there and make your five dollars!

9.) Trade Binary Options

Profit Potential: High
Risk: Medium-High

If you have ever thought that day trading is reserved for financial luminaries in suits, think again. For as little as $100.00 (although a minimum of $500.00 is recommended) you can open a day trading account on Nadex, and trade simple true or false statements for a profit. Obviously, trading entails risk, so you can lose money as well as making it this way. If you are interested in learning more about Nadex or Binary options, I suggest starting with this video. If you are still interested, I highly recommend Binary Trade Group as your next source for educational material.

8.) Fill Out Surveys On Swagbucks

Profit Potential: Low
Risk: None

Lets face it, online survey sites never pay as much as they lead you to believe. I myself have used several different survey sites, and Swagbucks seems to be the highest paying site out there. The site pays you to view ads, videos, and websites as well as playing games and filling out surveys. You can also earn points by signing up for special offers if they interest you, although i personally warn against giving your information out online for a few bucks.

7.) Become An Uber Driver

Profit Potential: Medium-High
Risk: Medium

Depending on where you live (and if you have a car,) you can ride people around for money. I am sure by now you have heard of Uber and know at least a little about how the ride sharing app works, and also understand that you never know what will happen when you let a stranger in your car…so Uber certainly isn’t risk free. Any Uber driver I have spoken to, however, seems to love it and says it is a great way to make extra money. The company is reportedly developing robotic cars to drive for them, so get in while the getting is good.

6.) Mine Cryptocurrency

Profit Potential: Medium-High
Risk: Medium-High

Believe it or not, there are machines out there that literally just make money! Not cash per say, but cryptocurrencies. Cryptocurrencies are online coded currencies that have actual real world value and can be transferred into cash. There are different types of cryptocurrencies, and different methods used to produce them, so some research will be required on your part. But as I write this article a single bitcoin (the highest valued cryptocurrency) is worth $381.12! If the cryptocurrency you choose to produce requires that you put any money down, be very careful and research them very heavily, there are frauds out there who will take your money with no remorse. A safe way to get into mining is buying a miner second hand, but make sure you use a profitability calculator to make sure you won’t be spending more money in electricity than you make in cryptocurrency.
