10. You always have random strangers at your door. They’ve heard some odd stuff about you and want to check it out. But, instead of being up front they all make up stories of how they thought this was their friend’s room or if you have a can opener they can borrow.
9. People stare but avoid eye contact at the same time. It’s that weird thing where you know someone is looking at you but when you look back they turn their head. Except instead of one person it’s almost everyone in the room. There’s also that moment when you’re walking past people and they all look straight down at the ground like they’ve been banned from seeing you.
8. You always have people ask what they should wear today like you’re a walking weather channel. Look out of the window and check your phone just like everyone else.
7. The millions of dumb questions you get asked on a regular basis. There is no interest or care in guessing what anyone’s favorite color is. When I look in the corner of the room I see the same wall you do, not Casper.
6. You’re expected to dress either in all black with chains and heavy eyeliner or like you just stepped out of The Land of Oz. Everyone is always shocked when they meet you.
