Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of great schools to attend in Kentucky, but none are quite as amazing as MSU. From the clock tower to the on campus buffet, Eagle pride is everywhere here…and for good reason. Like I said, there are a lot of great schools in Kentucky; it is okay if you are still unsure where you want to go, take a look below for some inside knowledge as to why Morehead might be your best choice.
That “At Home” Vibe
Going to a new school can make you feel like a fish out of water; new faces, a new environment, and a new way of living can make even the most prepared student feel uneasy. That feeling is nearly non existent at MSU. Maybe it is the local cafes, or the small town, but something about being here just feels like you never left home. Walking around campus, you will likely know the name of most of the people you pass. Hell, you may have went to High School with half of them.
Greek Culture
Chances are, if you grew up in KY, you have always known MSU to be “the one with the frats.” One look around campus seems to paint that same picture; this place is a breeding ground for Greek culture. Worried about making new friends in college? There are enough clubs and organizations here that that will never be an issue.
And Ice Cream!
Speaking of new friends, what better way to meet people then eating free ice cream!? Every year, MSU supplies all of us with free ice cream and an opportunity to meet fellow Eagles. Long story short…it is awesome.
Nature
I am sure, by now, you have seen all sorts of amazing things at college campuses…but what about a lake? Yes, Morehead State University actually has it’s own lake on campus. Not only that, but the Red River Gorge is only one hour away. If we are talking about nice scenery, Morehead has it all.
Oh Yeah, And We Are In Fucking Outer Space
No, seriously, our campus had the privilege of designing a lunar orbiter for NASA. If that isn’t amazing, then I don’t know what is.
