The term “basic” has been thrown around for quiet awhile now, and i’m here to tell you it’s not something to be ashamed of. There’s is nothing wrong with liking so called mainstream things- what’s wrong with having the same interests as people? I’m here to explain why being “basic” is okay, embrace it ladies!
Starbucks –
Deemed as the most basic essential of them all, I have to question why. Sure it’s a little over priced, but on most college campuses it’s the only coffee house. What’s wrong with liking coffee? Nothing! I’d take a venti iced caramel coffee any day, and so would any other college student; caffeine is an essential.
Greek Life –
I am proudly involved in greek like and couldn’t imagine not being apart of such a great group of women. For those who group all people in greek life into one stereotype obviously doesn’t know the slightest information on it. People in greek life are looking to be apart of something bigger on their campus while giving back to their specific philanthropy. Go ahead and deem me “basic” if helping children with cancer or representing your university is considered this.
Lilly Pulitzer Planners –
Without my Lilly planner my life would be in shambles and I wouldn’t get anything done. What’s better than a cute and colorful planner to make getting your shit done a little bit easier?
