Heading off to college for the first time signifies the beginning of a new step in life and with this new step comes new responsibilities and decisions. For many people leaving for college also means this may be the first time you have to share a room with someone. I personally had never shared a room before so I was skeptical to the idea of living with someone my first year, but it ended up being an extremely important decision.
Living with a roommate your freshman year will help you realize multiple things about yourself such as your study habits, your sleeping habits, what you do and don’t like, and many other things. I was lucky enough to get a great roommate and still have the opportunity to learn what I did and didn’t like about living with someone.
