21. Put on your party outfit!
Yes, girls AND guys have party outfits! Girls, I recommend sparkle or shine. Men, the casual dapper look seems to go a long way for you on your day.
20. Chug alcohol right before you walk out the door.
You know those cute mini bottles? They’re the perfect way to get your night started before even leaving the house! Yeah that’s right, hardcore pregaming right there.
19. Buy a drink at midnight.
Don’t waste a second. The moment your birthday is on, go ahead and take your first legal swig!
18. Drunk text.
It’s going to happen, and it will be hilarious . . . or embarrassing, depends on what type of drunk you are. (Side note: These texts are about what happened when my boyfriend texted me drunk.)
17. Talk to a stripper for three minutes.
My wonderful, committed boyfriend went bar hopping on his 21st birthday and I wasn’t quite 21 yet, so he went out with some friends. Later in the night, they ended up at a strip club and his friends bought him a lap dance. Being the loving boyfriend he is, he declined, but his friends insisted, because they had already paid for it. He obliged, went into the private room and told the lady he didn’t actually want a lap dance. They ended up talking about video games for the rest of what should have been his lap dance song. Now forever more he will have an interesting story to tell!
16. Go to an arcade bar.
Portland, OR is the best place to be a gamer (or anybody) on your 21st birthday. There is such a variety of bars in the eclectic downtown area. One of the most popular places is an arcade open to anyone by day, which turns into a 21 and over arcade bar by night! The booze comes out and the party really gets started!
15. Dance while you’re drunk!
Just avoid any cameras . . . on second thought, that’d be funny to see the day after.
14. Buy yourself a girly drink.
They taste amazing!
13. Have your friends buy you drinks.
It is, in fact, your birthday. They should each have to treat you to at least one drink, don’t you think?
12. Buy one of those funny shot glasses.
My friends and I have so much fun looking at all the different shot glasses. There are so many! And they’re so freaking hilarious!!
11. Bar hop.
Don’t just stay in one place all night, explore! But don’t go driving drunk or disrupting the peace or anything. Always have a sober friend with you to keep things under control.
10. Go to a casino.
You’re legally allowed to play slot machines now, so if sitting in front of a machine all night sounds like fun to you, go at it! (Just don’t drop all your money in one place.)
9. Go buy your first legal bottle of alcohol.
Swing by your local grocery store, grab a bottle, then head home and drink it with your friends. Board games are way more hilarious with a few drunk people around.
