Sundays are the free day of the week where you are allowed to do pretty much whatever you like. As college students there’s usually only a few things that we are all guilty of doing on Sunday.
Sleeping in
Why wake up early? The bed is too comfortable to leave and the covers are to warm to abandon. Sleeping in is incredible and is a great reward after a long week.
Recover
So maybe you shouldn’t have had those three extra whiskey sours. Now your mouth feels like sandpaper, your eyes cannot function without sunglasses and any sound louder than a whisper makes your head pound. This time at the end of the week is used to become a functioning human again instead of a comatose zombie.
Studying
Obvious? Yes. But an absolute necessity. You can get away without studying on a couple weekends but its guaranteed that at some point you’ve had to spend your Sunday within the walls of the library. It’s just like going to the dentist: no one really wants to do it but its better for you if you do.
Call Home
The call home for some people is a mental anchor that gets them through the week. Finding out how parents, siblings, pets and friends are faring can alleviate the homesickness and recenter your focus.
Treat Yourself
Go to the spa, get a haircut, shave, get your tan on. Being a student these days is harder than people think and the stress builds up. A Sunday is the perfect time to treat yourself however you see fit.
