The music video for One Directions new single Perfect came out yesterday and let me tell you, its pretty perfect. But I’m not here to talk about the fact that the 1-D guys are all extremely attractive (because that’s obvious), being the Taylor Swift fan that I am, I want to talk about how she fits into this whole thing.
For the past week people have made to the obvious connections between the song and Harry’s relationship with Taylor. One of the major ones is the fact that an actual lyric in song is “if you’re looking for someone to write your breakup songs about.” I mean come on that’s a direct reference to Taylor’s song We are never getting back together, which taylor has made clear was at the very least relatable to her and Harry’s relationship if not complete inspired by it.
And then there is the well know paper airplane necklace that was a symbol for their whole relationship which just so happened to causally appear in Style. All Swifties and Directioners knew the significance as soon as they saw it.
