Daniel Messel found guilty in the slaying of Indiana University student Hannah Wilson

Daniel Messel has been found guilty in the slaying of Indiana University student Hannah Wilson.

Wilson, 22, a senior from Fishers who preparing to graduate, went missing early in the morning of April 24, 2015, and was found slain later that day.

Messel, a 50-year-old print shop employee from Bloomington, was arrested that evening and charged with murder, after Wilson’s beaten and bloody body was discovered in a remote field in Brown County.

The jury deliberated for about five hours before reaching a verdict Wednesday.
